Yannis Mezelas was born in Seville on 14 April 1996. At the end of his secondary studies at the European School of Brussels he studied at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Thessaly in Greece, from where he graduated in 2021. After working in a private equine practice in Athens he did his first internship on equine medicine and surgery at the School of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Thessaloniki. Following his graduation from his second internship in equine medicine, at the ‘Clinéquine' of VetAgro Sup in Lyon, he decided to focus his career on orthopaedics and equine sports medicine. In August 2023 he joined with great enthusiasm the ViaNova team as orthopaedist, under the leadership of Cedric Boqué.
In his spare time, Yannis enjoys sports and travelling to meet his family and friends.
