Merle Vanendert, born on October 10, 2003 in Lommel, developed a passion for western horse riding at the age of five. Her love for reining grew as she constantly sought out challenges, both for herself and her horse.
After an internship at Via Nova, her interest in medical care for horses blossomed. Her first year at Via Nova she worked mainly as an assistant on the track, which gave her deeper insight into the medical care of horses. She currently rotates between operations, orthopedics and the hospitalization department, allowing her to discover different disciplines and broaden her knowledge.
