Marieke Zimmerman graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Ghent in 2008. After internships in France and the United Kingdom, she started working for Marc Suls in 2010. Here the focus was on orthopedics and medical imaging. After further specializing in medical imaging during externships at UC Davis, Washington State University, Colorado State University and the University of Lyon, Marieke became head of medical imaging at Equitom in Belgium in 2014. In 2018, Marieke started a 4-year specialization in Lyon, after which a dream came true in 2022: Marieke obtained the title of Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. Since then, she has been head of medical imaging at Via Nova.
Marieke spends her free time with her family, she also enjoys eating out and traveling.
