Ruben Callens was born on August 20, 1996 in Kortrijk and received his training in veterinary medicine at the University of Ghent. After graduating, he immediately did an internship at ?La Clinique Équine Acy-Romance? in France under the guidance of Thomas van Bergen. There he had the opportunity to discover where his passion lies within veterinary medicine. It soon became clear that he wanted to further develop in orthopedics.
After working in France for a year, he joined the orthopedic team in Marc Suls' track practice in 2021. He still works there with just as much enthusiasm to this day.
In his spare time, Ruben loves nature and sports. He can often be found in the Ardennes with his dog Odiel.
